We are pleased to announce that the much-awaited convocation ceremony for our esteemed college is just around the corner. This event marks a significant milestone in your academic journey and serves as a testament to your hard work, dedication, and accomplishments. As a prospective graduand of ºÚÁÏÉçÇø International College, it is essential to adhere to the graduation procedures provided by the College. These procedures generally involve following a series of steps to ensure a smooth graduation process. These steps typically include submitting an application to graduate, fulfilling all necessary academic requirements and meeting any other graduation requirements and attending the graduation ceremony or receiving your certificate.

We would like to extend an invitation to all students who have already completed their programme of study, as well as those who anticipate completing their programme by 21st September 2024, to register and attend the graduation ceremony. This event will serve as a grand finale to your time at our institution, and embrace the promising future that awaits you.

We encourage you to take part in this joyous occasion and celebrate your accomplishments alongside your peers and loved ones. Your success is a reflection of the unwavering support provided by your family, friends, and faculty members. This ceremony will be an opportunity to express gratitude, acknowledge their contributions, and create lasting memories together.

Information to Graduands

  • Academic Dress will be issued from the College for the graduands who have registered for the ceremony upon the payment of ceremony fee and fees related to academic dress.
  • Academic Dress will be issued from 17th – 21st November 2024 (0900 – 1400 hrs).
  • Graduands should bring the payment receipts issued by the College and College Student ID or their National ID card to collect the academic dress.
  • Requests for academic dress after the deadline will NOT be entertained.
  • To ensure appropriate fitting of all 3 items of the academic dress, graduands are advised to collect the academic dress personally.
  • Graduands must check the academic dress before taking it with them.
  • If academic dress is to be collected by a person other than the graduand, please submit the authorization letter with a representative.
  • Graduands should NOT alter the academic dress in any way.
  • All 3 items of the academic dress should be dry-cleaned only.
  • All graduates must return the academic dress to the College latest by 05th December 2024.
  • Academic dress will be collected as follows:
    • From 23rd November – 5th December 2024 (Except Friday)
    • Time: 0900 – 1400 hrs. (Sunday – Thursday)
    • Time: 0900 – 1130 hrs. (Saturday)
  • The return of academic dress will not be accepted after December 5, 2024, and gown deposits will be non-refundable.
  • When returning the academic dress, students must bring the academic dress hiring fee slip.
  • After returning the academic dress without any defects only, the refund for the academic dress deposit will be paid.
  • Your official transcript and certificates will be withheld until the return of the academic dress.
  • Each graduate will receive an entry pass for yourself and an entry pass for one guest to participate in the ceremony.
  • Guest or family member should present this entry pass when they attend the ceremony.
  • A graduation fee will be charged as follows from each student graduating after the completion of their programme of study:
    • Certificate III and Certificate IV: MVR 500
    • Diploma: MVR 700
    • Associate Degree: MVR 1000
    • Degree and Above: MVR 1700
  • Graduation fee is a one-time non-refundable fee which is applicable to all graduating students regardless of whether they attend the ceremony or not.
  • Graduation fee is for the processing of graduation eligibility, printing and distribution of academic transcripts and scrolls.
  • Academic dress hiring fee: MVR 500 (Non-refundable)
  • Academic dress deposit: MVR 1,500 (Refunded upon the return of the academic dress)
  • Academic dress rental fee of MVR 500 (Five Hundred Rufiyaa) and a deposit of MVR 1,500 (One Thousand Five Hundred Rufiyaa) must be paid before the collection of academic dress.
  • If you wish to withdraw your application to graduate in the ceremony, you must withdraw your application via the following email: registration@zikura.edu.mv. Your withdrawal will be dealt with as follows:
    • Withdrawal requests made before 30th September 2024: Ceremony fee, academic dress hiring fee and deposit will be fully refunded.
    • Withdrawal requests made after 30th September 2024 and before collecting the academic regalia: Academic dress hiring fee and deposit will be fully refunded.
    • Withdrawal requests made after collecting the academic dress and before the rehearsal date: Academic dress deposit will be fully refunded upon the return of academic dress.
    • Withdrawal requests made after the rehearsal date will not be accepted.
  • Before issuing the transcripts and certificates, students are required to:
    • Complete the due payments if any.
    • Return the academic dress hired for graduation.
    • Pay the graduation fee as applicable to the programme of study.
  • Students are required to bring their ID Card to collect the Certificate and Transcript.
  • Certificates and transcripts will be issued to the student only and in the event of unavailability of the student, for a very specific reason the student is required to authorize a person to collect the certificate or transcript.
  • Students can collect their certificates and transcripts from the nearest campus of the College.

  • The Graduation Ceremony is one of the official ceremonies of the College.
  • All graduates are advised to wear something formal, yet acceptable for such a prestigious function. Please read (…..) for more information about the graduation attire.
  • You will need to wear the College’s academic dress if you are graduating from a bachelor’s degree and above programme.
Academic Dress

All the graduands who have successfully completed a MNQF level 7-9 programme are required to wea Academic Dress. The academic dress consist of three separate pieces:

  • The Gown
  • The Hood
  • The Motarboard

No. Original certificates will be issued from the Registration Department at the college campus. You may collect it from college at a later date.

The student will be graduating from the highest level however you will receive both the completion certificates.

Yes, it is a must for all graduands to attend the convocation rehearsal, and the date and time for rehearsal will be announced via short message and email.

The ceremony will be approximately 2 hours long.

Yes, the college can provide a letter stating your graduand’s status and the details of the ceremony.

Yes, there will be a live telecast of the Graduation Ceremony. We will inform the channel name to the graduands at a later date.

Yes, however, such requests must be made via email to the Registration Department. You also have to register for the convocation ceremony.

There is no storage available. Please leave all personal items (including purses, etc.) at home or with a family member/friend during the ceremony.

You may return the regalia within the specified dates above.

You may request via email to the Finance Department. However, an additional fee might be applicable.
